Argentinian President Javier Milei inaugurated; Prime Minister Viktor Orbán met with Volodymyr Zelenskyy

On Sunday, right-wing Argentinian President Javier Milei was inaugurated.

At the ceremony held in the building of the Buenos Aires legislature, departing head of state Alberto Fernández placed the presidential sash on his successor.

In his inauguration speech, the 53-year-old politician spoke about a drastic economic transformation; he said there was no alternative to “a budgetary shock therapy.”

Mr Milei stressed that the previous government had left behind an empty treasury, and the country had sunk into hyperinflation. He highlighted that the budget had to be adjusted accordingly.
