Switzerland looks forward to the rotating Hungarian EU presidency, and is ready to engage in the closest possible cooperation during its six-month period, the Swiss President stated. According to Viktor Orbán and Viola Amherd, efforts must be made to ease and to deescalate the Israeli-Palestinian tensions and conflict.

In the context of the war in Ukraine, the Swiss President outlined her concept regarding a peace conference to be held in Switzerland in June.
