“Your bold leadership serves as an example for the rest of the world,” US President Donald Trump wrote to Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. The Prime Minister posted the letter on his Facebook account on Friday.
Mr Trump wrote it was a pleasure for him to host the Hungarian Prime Minister and his delegation in the White House to celebrate the “Golden Age” of US-Hungarian relations.
“I look forward to further deepening cooperation in the areas of defense, energy, and illegal migration,” the letter dated 10 December reads.
“Your bold leadership serves as an example for the rest of the world . You have always stood firm to defend the principles that make Hungary such a tremendous place – faith, family, and sovereignty. America admires that kind of courage,” Mr Trump wrote, praising the Hungarian Prime Minister.
The US President finally thanked Mr Orbán for his invitation to visit Hungary, and indicated that his team would be in touch with regards to his schedule. Mr Trump expressed his gratitude for the Hungarian Prime Minister’s friendship and support, and wished him the best of luck with his electoral campaign.
