Whatever the President of the Commission announces today would be forced down our throats by Tisza tomorrow

We should have no illusions, whatever the President of the Commission announces today would be forced down our throats by Tisza tomorrow, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán wrote on Facebook on Wednesday morning.

“Ursula von der Leyen will assess the state of the Union today. She shouldn’t bother. The list of mistakes is known to everyone: slowing economy, deteriorating competitiveness, a migration crisis and violence, a losing war, a senseless green policy,” the Prime Minister stated.

Mr Orbán wrote: the European people have had enough of this. This is why patriotic forces are gaining in strength everywhere in Europe. This is why the French government is failing time and again, this is why Nawrocki won in Poland, and this is why Andrej Babis will win in the Czech Republic.

“This will be the downfall of the Tisza Party itself. We learnt in recent weeks that Tisza has a programme. We also learnt that it was written in Brussels. We further learnt that they wanted to conceal it, but failed to do so. It’s all coming together, who has what to offer the Hungarian electorate,” the Prime Minister added.

He wrote: they want to increase taxes, we are implementing Europe’s largest family tax reduction. They want rental homes, we are implementing the biggest home ownership programme in Hungary’s history. They want sanctions, we want peace and the reduction of household energy bills. They would accept the Brussels migration pact, we closed the borders. They would support Ukraine, we support Hungarian families.

“We should have no illusions, whatever the President of the Commission announces today would be forced down our throats by Tisza tomorrow. Let’s make sure it won’t happen,” Mr Orbán wrote, concluding his post.
