On Friday in the Carmelite Monastery, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán received State Councillor and Minister of Public Security of the People’s Republic of China Wang Xhiaohong, Bertalan Havasi, the Prime Minister’s press chief informed the Hungarian news agency MTI.

Mr Orbán said respect is becoming a thing of the past in international diplomacy; however, in relations between Hungary and China this has always survived, and we continue to build our future cooperation, too, on a longstanding friendship.

The Chinese councillor spoke about the importance of bilateral economic relations and the Belt and Road Initiative serving to promote the development of a number of countries, the forums of which are regularly attended by the Hungarian prime minister.
