Prime Minister Viktor Orbán to speak at István Pásztor’s funeral 

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, too, will speak at the funeral of President of the Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians (VMSZ) István Pásztor to be held on Saturday, Bertalan Havasi, the Prime Minister’s press chief confirmed to the Hungarian news agency MTI on Wednesday. 

István Pásztor’s son, Bálint Pásztor, who currently serves as VMSZ’s temporary leader, informed members of the public on his social media account that his father will be buried in the Péits Chapel of the Szabadka Bajai út Cemetery at 2.00 p.m. on Saturday. In addition to Mr Orbán, speeches will also be made at the funeral by Serbian President of the Republic Aleksandar Vucic, President of the Democratic Alliance of Hungarians in Romania Hunor Kelemen and President of the VMSZ Management Committee Bálint Juhász, Mr Pásztor wrote.

István Pásztor died aged 67, after a short, serious illness on Monday.
