Prime Minister Viktor Orbán had talks with leader of Tatarstan

On Saturday evening, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán conducted bilateral talks with leader of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Bertalan Havasi, the Deputy State Secretary heading the Press Office of the Prime Minister informed the Hungarian news agency MTI. 

At the meeting, the parties established that they were ready to continue cooperation by relying on the results achieved to date in all possible sectors, including in agriculture. Despite the sanctions and political difficulties, Hungarian businesses present in Russia are seeking opportunities to expand their activities, the parties agreed. 

Mr Orbán said we are also making every effort to preserve our cooperation in the fields of culture, science and higher education; as part of the Stipendium Hungaricum programme, we continue to welcome students from Tatarstan who wish to study here.
