Prime Minister Viktor Orbán had talks with executives of Apollo Tyres

On Wednesday, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán received the board members of the Indian tyre manufacturer giant Apollo Tyres at a working dinner in the Carmelite Monastery, Bertalan Havasi, the Prime Minister’s press chief informed the Hungarian news agency MTI.

Members of the company giant’s Board of Directors also visited the company’s tyre factory operating in Gyöngyöshalász.

The Prime Minister and the company’s management took the view that in the six years that have passed since the commencement of Apollo Tyres’ operations in Hungary, relations between the company and the Hungarian government have been based on exceptionally close cooperation.

Apollo Hungary is an Indian-Hungarian success story which has an especially powerful message in 2023 as this year we are celebrating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between India and Hungary, the parties agreed at the meeting which was attended by several members of the government, including Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó, Finance Minister Mihály Varga, Minister for Construction and Investment János Lázár, Minister for Culture and Innovation János Csák, Political Director Balázs Orbán and the cabinet’s several government commissioners and state secretaries.
