We will turn Liszt Ferenc Airport into Central Europe’s most successful airport 

In Paris, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán met with Vinci Concessions Chief Executive Officer Nicolas Notebaert, Bertalan Havasi, the Prime Minister’s press chief informed the Hungarian news agency MTI on Tuesday.

On 6 June 2024, the Hungarian State acquired Budapest Airport (BA) Zrt., the company operating Liszt Ferenc International Airport together with Vinci Airports.

At the meeting held in Paris, the parties reviewed the development plans of the Budapest airport. In the coming ten years, projects worth more than a billion euros will be implemented at the airport, including the construction of a new terminal. Vinci as operator agreed to turn Liszt Ferenc International Airport into Central Europe’s most successful airport, the press chief’s communiqué reads.
