We will not let pass what is happening to Hungarians in Transcarpathia

Forced recruitment, manslaughter, burning down of churches, incitement, intimidation. All this is happening to our people, the Hungarians in Transcarpathia, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán wrote in a post on Facebook on Thursday.

The Prime Minister wrote this in response to the fact that a church was burnt down in Transcarpathia, and the side of the church was defaced with the message ‘Hungarians will taste the blade.’

“Forced recruitment, manslaughter, burning down of churches, incitement, intimidation. All this is  happening to our people, the Hungarians in Transcarpathia. We will not let this pass, you can count on us,” Mr Orbán wrote.
