The Prime Minister said, according to all scientific and professional analyses, also this year, Hungary will face a dry year, despite the fact that it is raining at present.
“This is not a new problem in Hungary; we periodically struggle with floods, inland waters and droughts. This year will be a dry year characterised by droughts, so this is what will have to cope with,” Mr Orbán said.
The Prime Minister said, on Tuesday, together with the members of the operational group, he took account of the available means and possibilities with a view to preventing the consequences of droughts and minimising losses this year.
“I ask every farmer to cooperate with the operational group because it is our common interest that we conclude a successful year also in the fields,” Mr Orbán said, concluding his video message.
