The number of banking frauds and hacking attacks has markedly increased recently, with special regard to cyber fraud originating from Ukraine, he highlighted.
“A wrong click is enough and there go the family savings,” the Prime Minister said, pointing out that fraudsters cause Hungarian families losses in the magnitude of eight billion forints a year with this method.
The Prime Minister said the authorities have recently wound up a network comprised of 19 individuals with ties to Ukrainian organised crime, and therefore he took the view that the authorities’ activities must be intensified in this regard.
At the Wednesday cabinet meeting, they will decide on new means with which to fight against banking hacking attacks linked to Ukrainian criminal circles, Mr Orbán stated.
