War psychosis has captured psyche of Polish government

War psychosis has captured the psyche of the Polish government, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán wrote on Facebook on Wednesday.

Contributing to a post by Mr Balázs Orbán, the Prime Minister’s Political Director, he wrote: they want to throw the thousand-year-old Hungarian-Polish friendship to the dogs. They support the blowing up of the Druzhba oil pipeline as part of an act of sabotage – the same as what happened to the Nord Stream pipelines, he added.

This would cause Hungarian families to sustain serious losses, Mr Orbán stressed, describing the situation as “sheer madness.”

We persevere with the friendship of our peoples. God bless Poland, the Prime Minister wrote in conclusion.

On his Facebook page, Mr Balázs Orbán wrote: it is shocking that the Polish foreign minister expressed hope that the Ukrainians would be able to blow up the Druzhba crude oil pipeline that guaranteed Hungary’s energy supply. He described this as the darkest depth of war psychosis.

“However hard Mr Sikorski is trying to destroy Polish-Hungarian relations, I’d like to remind him that our nations share a deep-rooted historical friendship, and we are ally countries,” the Prime Minister’s Political Director pointed out.

Under his post, Mr Balázs Orbán shared an article published in Mandiner’s online edition on Wednesday, commenting that “Polish foreign minister Sikorski is hoping that the Ukrainians will blow up the Druzhba pipeline. Can you sink any lower than that?”

The article in Mandiner said: the Polish foreign minister has “turned into a loose cannon,” Mr Sikorski is hoping that the Ukrainians will blow up the Druzhba pipeline. The Polish foreign minister wrote that he wished that Hungary could only have access to oil through Croatia.

According to Mandiner, Polish foreign minister Radoslaw Sikorski sent yet another message to Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó and Hungary on X. The Hungarian minister responded to the fact that a Polish court had rejected the German extradition request and had released the Ukrainian man accused of detonating the Nord Stream pipelines.

In this message, in reference to Russia, Mr Sikorski highlighted that he was proud of the Polish court which had ruled that sabotaging an invader was no crime.

According to Mandiner, the Polish politician “verbally reducing an act of terrorism to the level of mere self-defence” was not content with this much, he effectively said he can hardly wait for the oil pipeline which Hungary’s energy supply depends on to be destroyed.

“Moreover, I hope your brave compatriot, Major Magyar, finally succeeds in knocking out the oil pipeline that feeds Putin’s war machine and you get your oil via Croatia,” Mr Sikorski was quoted on Mandiner.
