Tapping the phone calls of a member of government is a major attack against Hungary, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán stated on Facebook on Monday.

After having shared the article entitled ‘[Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade] Péter Szijjártó’s phone has been tapped by foreign secret services with the aid of a Hungarian journalist; links lead to [Tisza politician] Anita Orbán’ published on Mandiner, Mr Orbán wrote: “I have instructed the Justice Minister to immediately investigate information related to the tapping of Péter Szijjártó’s phone.”
