Li Qiang highlighted that despite the geographical distance, a strong and old friendship ties the two countries together. He added that China appreciates the fact that Hungary was the first European state to sign the Belt and Road economic cooperation agreement. He said our bilateral relations are amicable, and they have fruitful results.
Mr Orbán, too, highlighted the importance of personal friendship and successful cooperation. He stressed that our political friendship also has deeper, cultural foundations. He recalled that we will celebrate shortly the 75th anniversary of the establishment of relations between the two countries. “We are good friends of China in Europe, and attach high hopes to further cooperation,” the Hungarian Prime Minister said.
