Prime Minister Viktor Orbán to have talks with French President Macron in Paris 

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has been invited by French head of state Emmanuel Macron to attend a working dinner in Paris on Tuesday evening, Bertalan Havasi, the Prime Minister’s press chief confirmed to the Hungarian news agency MTI. 

He added that Mr Orbán will travel to the Élysée Palace in Paris from the Slovak-Hungarian-Serbian migration summit in Révkomárom. 

According to the communication of the office of the French president, the working dinner will start at 8.30 p.m. 

Also in reference to information received from the presidential office, the French press reported that the meeting of Mr Orbán and Mr Macron would take place under the auspices of Hungary’s EU presidency, and would serve as an opportunity to prepare for the upcoming EU summit and the summit of the European Political Community due to be held in Budapest.

At the working dinner, the two leaders will also review Hungarian-French bilateral relations, with special regard to the areas of energy, defence policy and transport, the press reported.
