Prime Minister Viktor Orbán to have talks in Turkey 

On Thursday in Ankara, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán will have talks with Turkish head of state Recep Tayyip Erdogan and will then attend the closing event of the Hungarian-Turkish cultural year, Bertalan Havasi, the Prime Minister’s press chief informed the Hungarian news agency MTI. 

At the meeting, President Erdogan and Prime Minister Orbán will discuss topical international affairs, the conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East, the chances of peace and a number of issues related to Hungarian-Turkish relations. At the end of 2023, we raised our bilateral relations to the level of strategic partnership, and our cooperation has dynamically developed ever since, Mr Havasi recalled. 

The press chief added that as part of the Hungarian-Turkish cultural year, more than 150 events have been held in the two countries.
