Prime Minister Viktor Orbán had talks with Uzbek head of state

On Monday, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán had talks over the telephone with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev whom he congratulated on his victory in the elections held on Sunday, Bertalan Havasi, the Prime Minister’s press chief informed the Hungarian news agency MTI.

According to Mr Orbán, the election victory clearly shows that the Uzbek people are committed to the stability created and the reforms implemented by President Mirziyoyev.

The Hungarian Prime Minister said his government will continue to work towards the development of Hungarian-Uzbek political and economic relations.

Mr Orbán and Mr Mirziyoyev established with pleasure that a number of Hungarian businesses had already developed a formidable presence on the Uzbek market, including in the banking sector, communications and trade.
