Prime Minister Viktor Orbán had talks with President of South Korea

On Monday at the venue of the NATO Summit in Vilnius, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán had talks with South Korean head of state Yoon Suk Yeol about the possibilities of developing cooperation between Hungary and South Korea, Bertalan Havasi, the Prime Minister’s press chief informed the Hungarian news agency MTI.

The parties established that South Korea had for years been one of the largest foreign investors in Hungary, and trade relations, too, were breaking all previous records.

Mr Orbán confirmed that Hungary aimed to further strengthen economic relations also in sectors such as nuclear energy and the defence industry.

The parties stated that relations between Hungary and South Korea had deep roots, and so it was also well worth strengthening cooperation in areas such as education and culture.
