Prime Minister Viktor Orbán had talks with Paraguayan head of state

On Tuesday in Brussels, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán had talks with President of Paraguay Mario Abdo Benítez, Bertalan Havasi, the Prime Minister’s press chief informed the Hungarian news agency MTI.

The two leaders spoke about the world political situation, the war in Ukraine and its consequences as well as about the role and opportunities of conservative politics.

Mr Orbán said, almost uniquely in Europe, Hungary stands on the bedrock of fundamental values, and believes in the sustaining power of family, nation and faith.

The President of Paraguay said the party governing his country works on the basis of the same values, and also regards the protection of these values as a priority.

Mr Orbán and Mr Benítez also spoke about opportunities for boosting Hungarian-Paraguayan economic and trade relations, Mr Havasi reported.
