Prime Minister Viktor Orbán had talks with executives of largest European industrial companies

In preparation for Hungary’s presidency of the Council of the European Union in the second half of the year, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán had talks with the executives of the European Round Table for Industry (ERT) in the Carmelite Monastery, Bertalan Havasi, the Prime Minister’s press chief informed the Hungarian news agency MTI on Tuesday. 

Topics of the meeting which was also attended by the executives of Vodafone, BMW, Deutsche Telekom and MOL included the enhancement of the European Union’s global competitiveness which is a top priority of the Hungarian presidency. 

At the meeting, the parties discussed the proposals and recommendations of the most important industry players for the improvement of European competitiveness. 

Mr Orbán praised the contribution of the players of European industry to the welfare of the continent’s population, while the attending industrialists spoke in words of praise about the business environment in Hungary, Mr Havasi reported.
