President of China to come to Hungary on a state visit 

At the invitation of President of the Republic Tamás Sulyok and Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, on 8 May Chinese head of state Xi Jinping will come to Hungary on a state visit, Bertalan Havasi, the Deputy State Secretary heading the Press Office of the Prime Minister informed the Hungarian news agency MTI. 

During his programme in Budapest lasting until 10 May, the president will have talks with the Hungarian prime minister and the president of the republic about bilateral political, economic and international issues.

The purpose of the visit is to further strengthen interstate as well as economic and trade relations between Hungary and China, and to extend cooperation to further areas, the Prime Minister’s press chief wrote in his communication.
