Mr Orbán said Georgia is a country ready for EU membership and must be admitted to the EU within the shortest possible time.
At the Monday meeting, the two leaders established that Hungarian-Georgian relations were based on common values, including our cultural and Christian heritage and our commitment to peace. It is our common interest that our economic partnership should reflect the level and intensity of our political relations, Mr Orbán stated. He said it is important to further strengthen Hungarian-Georgian investment and business relations and to expand the volume of bilateral trade in the coming years, Mr Havasi reported.
