Hungarian Italian relations are strenghthening, we are working together to solve the issue of migration and the energy crisis

On Friday, in a message sent to Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán sent his best wishes on the occasion of the national holiday of the Republic of Italy, Bertalan Havasi, the Prime Minister’s press chief informed the Hungarian news agency MTI. 

In his message, Mr Orbán was happy to establish that in the present, particularly intensive international situation, he has the privilege of working together in the resolution of extraordinary challenges such as immigration and the energy crisis with an Italian prime minister who knows and understands Hungary well and defends European Christian values.

“The recent high-level bilateral visits clearly indicate the strengthening of relations between our countries,” Mr Orbán wrote, adding that the expansion of our cooperation will open up new prospects also in the areas of defence, the economy and culture.

“I’m convinced that in the future with consistent hard work and together we will be able to achieve a number of results in issues that are especially important for our countries,” the Prime Minister wrote, concluding his message sent on the occasion of Republic Day.
