Today’s cabinet meeting was almost exclusively about villages. We believe that the village is not the past but the future, and that 2025 will be the year of breakthroughs also for villages. We have made decisions. We will support small shops to the tune of 3 million forints per shop. We’re throwing a lifeline to small pubs, also worth 3 million forints each. Every village with fewer than two thousand inhabitants can apply for this support. We’ll bring at least one ATM to every village, and we’ve also announced a church renovation programme for small villages. The village should be strengthened, not wound down. This is what we’ve been working on today. The details will follow tomorrow, at the weekly “kormányinfó” government press briefing.
