Day of One Million Meetings to come on Saturday

On Wednesday, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán visited Dabas as part of his EP election campaign trail, Bertalan Havasi, the Prime Minister’s press chief informed the Hungarian news agency MTI.

According to the communication, the President of Fidesz was received by Mayor Zoltán Kőszegi, while later the Prime Minister had talks with the mayors of several settlements in the region.

Meeting with members of the Dabas electorate, Mr Orbán said during Saturday’s Peace March it was revealed again that “we are Europe’s largest peace-keeping force.” However, we need one last major effort for victory, he added. “This is why we will have the biggest campaign finish ever, the Day of One Million Meetings. This Saturday, in the 24 hours before the Sunday elections, in a single day Fidesz’s fifty thousand activists will encourage a million people in person to cast their votes in the elections. I myself will take part in that mobilisation campaign because the stakes are enormous. War or peace – this is what we will decide about. So, the Day of One Million Meetings is to come on Saturday, while in the elections on Sunday ‘Only peace, only Fidesz,’” Mr Orbán was quoted in the press chief’s communication.
