We’re in Százhalombatta, at Hungary’s only oil refinery, and one of the largest in the region. This is where gasoline and diesel fuel for Hungarian vehicles is produced. Yesterday President Zelenskyy rejected the joint proposal by the Hungarian and Slovak governments for settlement of the dispute, and so this refinery will continue to use Hungary’s strategic oil reserves. The Ukrainian oil blockade shows that President Zelenskyy will stop at nothing, so from today this refinery and other important energy facilities in the country will be protected by both soldiers and police officers. I thank them for their work! In critical situations, the Hungarian people can count on the Hungarian Armed Forces and the police. Hungary continues to resist President Zelenskyy’s blackmail, and we shall not back down from our demand that oil shipments through the Druzhba pipeline be resumed.
