Prime Minister Viktor Orbán convened Energy Security Council

Due to energy policy developments in recent days, Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orbán has convened the Energy Security Council. The most important topic of the meeting is the coordination of the measures necessary due to the Ukrainian energy blackmail, the Centre for Government Communication informed the Hungarian news agency MTI. 

The meeting will be attended by Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orbán, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó, Minister for Energy Csaba Lantos, Balázs Orbán, the Prime Minister’s Political Director, Marcell Bíró, the Prime Minister’s Senior National Security Advisor, Chief Executive Officer of Mavir Zrt. Ferenc Szarvas, Chairperson-Chief Executive Officer of MOL Zsolt Hernádi, Chief Executive Officer of MVM Zrt. Károly Mátrai, and János Máté, the Secretary of State heading the Prime Minister’s Programme Office, the communication reads.
