After asking for an update regarding the latest snow situation from Interior Minister Sándor Pintér, the Prime Minister said, all roads are passable. He added that there was “great pressure” on health care, there were many arm, hand, finger and leg fractures, but due to the difficult weather conditions, there was no need to reschedule planned operations.
He said freezing rain is causing the most concern.
The situation will become more difficult, rather than easier. If the snow situation is aggravated by the risk of slipping caused by freezing rain, that will require extra caution, he said, highlighting: he asks everyone “who has business outside to do it slowly, carefully and with caution.”
“Everyone should take care of themselves, and we should take care of each other,” the Prime Minister said.
