Hungary and Serbia can count on each other

In the wartime chaos of European politics, Hungary and Serbia can count on each other, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán stated on his Facebook account on Thursday.

In his post, Mr Orbán wrote: “Heading for Szabadka [Subotica]. We are remembering István Pásztor” together with President Vucic and the Hungarians of Vojvodia. This is a great thing: a strategic alliance.”

He added that this also meant that in the wartime chaos of European politics, Hungary and Serbia could count on each other. Our Serbian friends are now in trouble due to the policy of sanctions, he wrote.

“What we managed to avoid in Hungary could happen in Serbia: they may have to shut down the biggest oil refinery, they are facing a threat of difficulties, the nightmare of a shortage of fuel even,” he posted.

“I will reassure President Vucic that Hungary will do everything it can to help with Serbia’s fuel supply,” the Prime Minister wrote.
