Evidently, young people seriously believe that it is their turn now and can access housing loans with fixed 3 per cent interest, the Prime Minister said, adding that they will continue the programme.
At the cabinet meeting, they spoke about pension increases, the method of the introduction of the fourteenth monthly pension and the rate of next year’s pension increase. They further discussed issues related to energy, reviewing how they could help households and businesses to store green energy mostly generated from solar energy.
“Meaning that we also spoke about an energy storage programme that can be used equally on the levels of households, small and medium-sized businesses and even large companies as well as about a dozen other issues,” he observed.
The Prime Minister stressed that the government did not officially concern itself with the opposition’s programme ideas, but during a break, he had spoken to a few ministers about the Tisza Party’s planned austerity measures.
The government’s position is clear; there is no need for austerity measures. The Left always wants austerity measures, and additionally, now there is also Brussels behind the Left. They want these austerity measures so that Hungary can send the sum requested by the President of the European Commission to Brussels, and from there to Ukraine, he pointed out.
There is no need for Hungary’s money to be sent to Ukraine, and the patriotic government will never support this, Mr Orbán underlined.
