The government meeting has just ended. I don’t know if there’s ever been an example of the President of Harghita County Council being here with us – but Botond Bíró was with us. This is justified now, because – in addition to the Parajd/Praid salt mine area – the flood situation in Székely Land has caused major damage, mainly in the region of Háromszék. So we have to help Háromszék as well. At today’s government meeting we decided to provide assistance to Székely Land with the involvement of the RMDSZ [Democratic Alliance of Hungarians in Romania]. Negotiations on this with the President of the RMDSZ will continue tomorrow. The most important thing now is speed. We’re grateful for the fundraising campaign to help Székely Land organised today – the Day of National Unity – by Hungarian Television in cooperation with Hungarian Interchurch Aid. The Government has decided to double the donations received, so for every forint donated, it will add another forint. No Hungarian is alone!
