Prime Minister Viktor Orbán had talks with Hunor Kelemen in Carmelite Monastery 

On Thursday, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán received President of the Democratic Alliance of Hungarians in Romania Hunor Kelemen in the Carmelite Monastery. 

The meeting focused on the natural disaster that struck the Parajd (Praid) salt mine which had severe consequences for the region’s economy and tourism. The parties reviewed the progress of the recovery and restoration works as well as the extent of the damage. 

Mr Orbán stressed that the disaster was not only a local, but also a national affair which required common action. Therefore, the Hungarian government will provide all necessary assistance for Szeklerland under the guidance of the Democratic Alliance of Hungarians in Romania, the Communications Division of the Prime Minister informed the Hungarian news agency MTI.
