The Prime Minister highlighted that the stability of Hungarian-Chinese relations was gaining in significance in the present challenging world economic environment. “Hungary’s position is that Europe’s competitiveness is best served by the strengthening of cooperation with China and connectivity, not by the artificial separation of East and West,” Mr Orbán stressed.

In 2024, in terms of volume of investment, China was the most important investor in Hungary. We have large Chinese corporations operating in Hungary such as CATL, Semcorp, EVE Power and Sunwoda which significantly contribute to the performance of the Hungarian economy.
