It is important that everyone should take part in Vote 2025 to prevent the Hungarian people’s money from being sent to Ukraine, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán stated in a video posted on Facebook on Wednesday. 

In the video entitled ‘Lord Weber in action,’ the Prime Minister recalled that the congress of the European People’s Party had been held the day before in Valencia. 

“Here is the most important decision in my hand. The European People’s Party is the one that effectively controls the European Union, they’re the utmost bureaucrats in the European Union, and yesterday they decided that even more weapons and even more money must be sent to Ukraine, and as they say, Ukraine must be granted EU membership in an expedited process,” Mr Orbán said. 

He added that in the meantime the United States was engaged in peace talks, and the EPP was trying to derail these from behind.

“Additionally, the economy of the European Union is struggling. Instead of us spending the money on the European people and the European economy, they want to send it to Ukraine. It’s important that everyone should take part in Vote 2025 in order to prevent this under any circumstances, and to prevent them from sending the Hungarian people’s money to Ukraine,” Mr Orbán stressed.
