“We remember the heroes, the March youths who prevailed over oppression by choosing order over lawlessness; peace over war; life over death. They believed that the purpose of the world was happiness, and freedom was the prime means to achieve this. This is what they left to us, too, as a yardstick. Therefore, also in 2025, we Hungarians wish for nothing more than that we may live a full life: that we may freely use our mother tongue and symbols, without restriction, and may celebrate in peace our national heritage which elevates us to the ranks of Europe’s most significant nations of culture,” the Prime Minister wrote in his letter.
He highlighted that “today, we are happy to state that the cause of Hungarian freedom has strong friends who are also ready to stand up for us, but we know at the same time that defending our national interests is our duty. We must jointly take action against forces which seek to curtail the rights of parts of the Hungarian nation, and must together stop all crazy plans that could drive Europe into a war.”
“Long live Hungarian freedom, long live our homeland,” the Prime Minister wrote in conclusion.
