In the context of Donald Trump’s expected victory, Mr Orbán said, speaking about the Republican politician, that he had been threatened with imprisonment, his assets had been seized, attempts had been made on his life, and the entire realm of the media had turned against him in the United States, yet, he had won.
He added that this was great inspiration for everyone who believed in a strong will, fighting and perseverance, and the hope of peace for the world.
He also said at the beginning of the year they had hoped that by the end of the year pro-peace forces in the western world would be in the majority and would overcome pro-war forces. There is an enormous chance for that now, and as a result, the economy could finally “gain momentum,” and Hungarian-US relations, too, could return to “the old Golden Age.”
“We have a number of plans that together with President Donald Trump we will be able to implement in the coming years,” Mr Orbán said.
