Prime Minister Viktor Orbán offered his condolences to Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and the people of Serbia

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán offered his condolences to Serbian President of the Republic Aleksandar Vucic and the people of Serbia due to the tragedy in Novi Sad (Újvidék). 

“I would like to express my deepest condolences to President Vucic and the people of Serbia upon the tragic collapse of a roof at the train station in Novi Sad. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims,” the Prime Minister wrote in English on the microblog portal X. 

On Friday, a part of the structure of the Novi Sad railway station collapsed. Fourteen people died and some thirty persons were injured. The government ordered a day of national mourning for Saturday, while the leadership of the city of Novi Sad announced a three-day mourning period.
