Prime Minister Viktor Orbán had talks with Managing Director of IMF about world economy and action against development of blocs

On Friday in the Carmelite Monastery, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán received Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Kristalina Georgieva, Bertalan Havasi, the Prime Minister’s press chief informed the Hungarian news agency MTI.

At the meeting the parties evaluated the situation of the world economy and international trade.

They established that due to ongoing wars and tensions, multinational cooperation schemes are weakening, and so the unrestricted multilateral world trade system is being attacked ever more fiercely from every side, while the world cannot afford to split into blocs that stand against one another, Mr Havasi reported.
