This election will have a decisive impact on issue of war or peace

As part of his campaign trail of the country, on Thursday, Prime Minister-President of Fidesz Viktor Orbán paid a visit to Nyíregyháza where he had talks with Mayor Ferenc Kovács and members of the Association of Businesses for Nyíregyháza, while later he met with members of the electorate, Bertalan Havasi, the Prime Minister’s press chief informed the Hungarian news agency MTI.

Recalling the developments implemented in the country and in Nyíregyháza since 2010, the Prime Minister said the Left keeps making promises; by contrast, we work hard. They talk, we deliver on our promises.  Additionally, today, voting for the Left amounts to supporting the war, he argued.

Mr Orbán pointed out that there were always some who benefited from wars, some even grew immensely rich. This is the case today as well, this is why Brussels supports the war. However, in every war the majority always suffers. And if this majority raises its voice now throughout Europe, the worst could still be avoided. This is what is at stake in the 9 June election. This election will have a decisive impact on the issue of war or peace, Mr Orbán said in summary.
