Prime Minister Viktor Orbán had talks with Serbian prime minister

On Wednesday in Brussels, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán had a bilateral meeting with Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabić, Bertalan Havasi, the Prime Minister’s press chief informed the Hungarian news agency MTI.

At the meeting, which was also attended by Minister for EU Affairs János Bóka, the parties spoke in words of praise about the excellent political and economic relations between the two countries and the common developments implemented in the recent past, making specific mention of the commissioning of the refurbished Szeged-Szabadka (Subotica) railway line.

Mr Orbán said it is not fair that while Brussels would make unjustified exceptions in the case of Ukraine and would seek to accelerate the process of EU accession, in the case of the countries of the Western Balkans, it is unduly slowing negotiations down.
