Prime Minister Viktor Orbán congratulated party leader Geert Wilders on his victory in Dutch elections 

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán congratulated right-wing party leader Geert Wilders on his victory scored in the early parliamentary elections held in the Netherlands on Wednesday, Bertalan Havasi, the Prime Minister’s press chief informed the Hungarian news agency MTI. 

In a telephone conversation on Wednesday evening, Mr Orbán said it was important for him to be among the first to congratulate the party leader on his “landslide” election victory. Mr Orbán wished Geert Wilders all the very best and much perseverance with the political negotiations of the period ahead. 

Earlier, on the social media portal X (formerly Twitter), the Prime Minister wrote the following in an English-language post: “The winds of change are here! Congratulations to Geert Wilders on winning the Dutch elections.”
