Prime Minister Viktor Orbán had talks with leader of strongest North Macedonian party 

On Tuesday in the Carmelite Monastery, Prime Minister-President of Fidesz Viktor Orbán received President of the Internal Macedonian Revolutionary Organisation – Democratic Party for Macedonian National Unity (VMRO-DPMNE) Hristijan Mickoski, Bertalan Havasi, the Prime Minister’s press chief informed the Hungarian news agency MTI.

As expected, parliamentary elections will be held in North Macedonia in the first half of 2024, and according to opinion polls, VMRO-DPMNE is the most popular party. Earlier, Fidesz and the Hungarian government offered to assist the conservative partner party with its preparations for government. 

At the Tuesday meeting, the parties also spoke about the integration of the Western Balkans countries into the European Union, Mr Havasi wrote in his communication.
