At the rally held as part of a two-day summit of the Patriots under the slogan ‘Let’s make Europe great again,’ Mr Orbán said “the Trump tornado” has changed the world in just a few weeks. “We Patriots are writing the future in America, the Netherlands, Italy, Austria and Hungary; the Czech Republic may be next,” he said.
We are many, are big and strong, Mr Orbán pointed out, observing that Ferenc Puskás said “the team is now very much together and united.”
He said today Hungary is the laboratory of conservative politics, “we have been building a free, conservative and Christian Hungary for fifteen years.”
“We are the ones who have protected ourselves from migration,” he said, stressing that not a single illegal migrant enters Europe through Hungary. The unauthorised crossing of the border is a crime, on the issue of migration, there is no compromise in Hungary, he stated, adding that as a result of this, “the number of migrants in Hungary is zero.”
He stressed that in Hungary “instead of immigrants, we support families.” The government banned gender propaganda from schools, while the Constitution lays down that it is the duty of every state agency to protect Christian culture and that the mother is a woman, the father is a man, he listed. Among the results achieved, he also mentioned that they had eliminated unemployment and that businesses in Hungary paid Europe’s lowest corporation tax.
“Naturally, the globalist elite hates us” for all this, “the Brussels bureaucrats, the US Democrats and the Soros network started a manhunt against us, they’re hunting us because we protected our country,” he said.
He recalled that when 15 years ago the Hungarians turned against the progressive global elite, everyone said that this is madness, impossible, nothing short of political suicide. But we did not heed those warnings, we did it, and Hungary is living proof that it is possible, it can be done, he stressed.
He added that US President Donald Trump, too, would succeed as would the Spanish. In his view, all it takes is for the Spanish people to stand with President of Vox and also leader of the Patriots for Europe Santiago Abascal, and then also in Spain “the future will belong to the Patriots.”
Mr Orbán said Brussels is responsible for the fact that the European economy is sinking, that “our money” is being sent “to a hopeless war” in Ukraine and that migrants have flooded Europe because they opened the borders “before the invasion of migrants.”
Referring to the Soros Plan, he pointed out that the European illegal migrant invasion and the population exchange was not a mere conspiracy theory, but practice itself. In 2015, George Soros himself announced that every year a million migrants must be allowed into Europe; this has duly taken place, in 9 years nine million illegal migrants have arrived.
He said today, the progressive global elite is quite simply robbing the people of Europe; however, the myth has it that Europe was robbed in the form of a bull. At the same time, the people in Spain understand “how to deal with an enraged bull,” the Prime Minister said, describing President of Vox Santiago Abascal as the bravest toreador of politics.
“Santiago, let us tame the enraged bull together,” said Mr Orbán who addressed the President of Vox also at the beginning of his speech, stressing that with his service as prime minister for 19 years and leader of the opposition for 16 years, he understands and appreciates the path of someone who rises from opposition to power.
The name of this path is pain and suffering. Those who would like to be in government must first serve the nation “whilst being the target of continual and brutal attacks”, he said. In his view, Mr Abascal and Vox have indeed suffered enough to come to power. “Santiago, I understand you and I’m with you,” he stressed.
Regarding relations between Spain and Hungary, he recalled that in the 1200s the daughter of the Hungarian king married James I of Aragon. The Hungarian guards who arrived with her fought together with the Spanish in the Reconquista.
He also recalled that the Spanish had been the first to support the Hungarians in 1956 when they had rebelled against communism and the Soviet Union.
Meaning that the friendship of the Spanish and the Hungarians is “a tested brotherhood in arms”, the Prime Minister said in summary.
