In his speech broadcast by the public service television news channel M1 live, the Prime Minister stressed that “pro-war politicians want us to believe that the war must be continued, but I warn you, this war cannot be won, there is no solution on the battlefield, there are only dead bodies, suffering and devastation.”
Mr Orbán pointed out that he came from a country that neighboured Ukraine. “We don’t want our sons to come back in coffins, we don’t want an Afghanistan next door, we don’t want Brussels to introduce a wartime regime with reference to the war, we don’t want them to take out giga debts, we don’t want them to federalise the money of the Member States, we don’t want our countries to be driven into an arms race. I ask you, let us stop them together,” he said.
The Prime Minister spoke about the fact that Pentecost was a great victory for Christianity. He said “a miracle happened, the sons of faraway nations understood one another as though by magic, and spoke the same language.”
A year ago, the nations of Europe started to speak the same language, the language of sovereignty and freedom; the French, the Italians, the Spanish, the Dutch, the Portuguese, the Czechs, the Polish, the Austrians and the Hungarians said they have had enough of Brussels, he pointed out.
Mr Orbán added that he had learnt that the weak fell, the cowards became shamed, the brave remained on their feet, and the strong won. “If we combine forces, we will be strong and we will win,” he told his audience.
The Prime Minister said Hungary is the European Union’s black sheep, Brussels’ nightmare, the hope of European patriots and the border fortress of Christians.
Mr Orbán stressed that he had been born into communist dictatorship and Soviet occupation. They had to fight for freedom and democracy. At the same time, “the egghead Brussels bureaucrats” attacking Hungary have no idea what it means to fight for freedom, democracy and country. They should instead stay in silence and do their job, he added.
He described leader of the French National Rally Marine Le Pen as a friend, a great individual, a tireless leader and a brave fighter who would never betray you, would never let you down and follows the law of integrity. He observed that France must be a rich country if it could afford the luxury of not having Marine Le Pen as president.
He recalled that they had realised twenty years previously that “the train of the globalist western world is racing towards a precipice,” and “if we stay on board, then we’ll become ruined.” Ever fewer children were born, large global corporations robbed us dry, universities and culture were occupied by the international progressives, NGOs and media networks paid from Brussels and Washington ruled over us, mocked the family, the nation and Christianity, he listed, adding that in the meantime, migrants “paid by Soros and Brussels” broke in.
At the same time, the Prime Minister stressed that they had rebelled, had organised the patriotic Right, had swept the Left away, and had adopted a new Constitution which laid down the inviolability of sovereignty, the protection of the Christian cultural identity and children, and the fact that the father was a man, while the mother was a woman.
He added that they had next built a fence and pushed migrants out. As a result, only those are allowed to enter who received permission.
In Hungary, the number of migrants stands at zero, he said, stressing that in Hungary, there are no hordes on the streets, there is no anti-Semitism, violence and disturbance.
“Hungary belongs to the Hungarians, families are respected again, working mothers do not pay personal income tax for life, and we’re proud of our country again,” he stated in summary.
“Brussels vomited blood, keeps threatening and blackmailing us,” Mr Orbán said in continuation, stressing that Hungary is currently under the effect of financial sanctions and is compelled to pay Brussels a million euros a day for not letting migrants in. A million euros a day is a lot of money for us, but we would rather pay than let a single migrant in. This is the best investment in the future, he added.
He said they will persevere, they will not allow the security of Hungarian cities and streets to be destroyed.
He said we will not allow peaceful citizens to be killed. “We Hungarians don’t shrug our shoulders and point the finger at Brussels and international law like some loser, we take action,” he pointed out.
This is not migration, but an organised population exchange with which Europe’s cultural foundations are being replaced. We Hungarians will not kneel down before Brussels. We are on the people’s side, and will fight for them, he added.
We will fight for families and country, even if we have to fight against the whole Brussels bureaucracy, he pointed out.
He highlighted that we would leave a European, Christian and patriotic country to our children and grandchildren. “This is our story,” the Prime Minister said in summary.
Mr Orbán also spoke about the fact that the European Right was under attack from bureaucrats and judges never elected by anyone, but they would put an end to this.
“We combined forces, and will push forward everywhere. We Hungarians need your victory. Without you we can’t occupy Brussels, and we can’t remove ourselves from the Brussels rack,” he said, adding that our story is proof of the fact that it can be done, “here, too, in your country as well.”
“You are the nation of gloire,” he said, then referring to Marine Le Pen, he said “you have a great leader, you just have to want it, and you will succeed.”
