“We have a hot autumn coming. Europe is drifting ever faster towards the war,” the Prime Minister wrote. Mr Orbán recalled that a couple of weeks earlier, Brussels’ war plan had been presented: Europe is paying, the Ukrainians are fighting, while Russia will become exhausted at some point. As to how much this will cost and how long it will last, we did not find out. Instead of a strategy, this is all the Brusselites could come up with, he observed.
“In Denmark, I made it clear that we don’t want any of this. Since then, they have pursued a veritable campaign against Hungary. The arsenal is extensive. Espionage accusations, fake news scandals and legal machinations. Brussels launched a campaign against us, and they also set their local lieutenants on us,” Mr Orbán wrote.
“We can’t just sit back and watch this idly. We have to show them again that the Hungarian people don’t want war. Therefore, today, we start a signature collection against Brussels’ war plans. We will be there in every city and in every village because now we need all peace-loving Hungarians,” the Prime Minister wrote, concluding his post.
