Mr Orbán said the situation in Europe is critical, a severe energy crisis is approaching, “and it is accelerating day by day.” The European economy is threatened by energy shortages and, as a result, rising prices, he pointed out. The danger is immediate and this threat can only be averted if the European Union fills its oil and gas reserves from every possible direction, from every possible source, in the largest possible quantities and as quickly as possible, he stated.
Every single day counts, the Prime Minister pointed out. He stressed that Brussels must compel Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to reopen the Friendship oil pipeline without delay. At the same time, we must reject and abandon plans that propose cutting off Russian energy and switching to more expense energy under Brussels energy policies, which would be unaffordable for families, he said.
The Tisza Party’s energy transition plan belongs in the bin because Hungary today needs stability and security, he said in conclusion.
