The politician recalled that on Wednesday in Brussels, the European foreign ministers had gathered together where they had threatened to propose yet another package of sanctions. It is quite evident that the Brussels bureaucrats have switched to an absurd energy policy, he added.
“The purpose of the energy policy of people of our kind is to make energy cheap, accessible and safe. This is the basis of the competitiveness of the economy and the welfare of families. However, the Brussels bureaucrats are clearly not interested in the European people’s livelihoods,” he observed.
“The purpose of the Brussels energy policy is to support Ukraine at any cost. They’re guided by this one single consideration. Therefore, they want to shut down the Russian supply of gas and crude oil which would increase the energy costs of Hungarian families two- to three-fold,” the Prime Minister wrote.
“Enough is enough,” he stressed.
“We are on the side of common sense. In Hungary, people have access to energy at affordable, reduced prices, and we will protect this. However, we can only ward off the Brussels energy threat together,” he warned.
The Prime Minister added that this was why it was important that as many of us should cast our votes in the Vote2025 opinion vote as possible.
“One million people have already cast their votes. Join us. We must not allow others to decide over our heads,” Mr Orbán wrote, concluding his post.
