Prime Minister Viktor Orbán supervised flood defence work on the metropolitan section of the Danube 

On Saturday, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán inspected the flood defence work on the Danube in Budapest in the company of head of the Fidesz party group in the metropolitan municipality Alexandra Szentkirályi, Bertalan Havasi, the Prime Minister’s press chief informed the Hungarian news agency MTI.

As the flood will peak – in a protracted manner – in the capital on Saturday, in the morning the Prime Minister inspected the state of the flood protection facilities in the centre of the city together with the interior minister and the defence minister. 

After the meeting of the operational group, he visited several flood defence sites in Budapest by speedboat in the company of Budapest police chief Tamás Terdik and metropolitan Fidesz group leader Alexandra Szentkirályi.
