Prime Minister Viktor Orbán ordered investigation due to Tisza Party’s data leak scandal

There is a grave data leak scandal at Tisza. The personal data of 200,000 compatriots has landed in Ukrainian hands. I have ordered an immediate investigation into the incident, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán wrote on Facebook on Monday.

In a video enclosed with the post, the Prime Minister said the evening before a grave scandal had shaken Hungarian public life. The personal data of 200,000 compatriots has been leaked on the Internet without their consent.

“At present, what we know for certain is that this data was gathered by the Tisza Party. I convened the members of government responsible for national security affairs and we established on the basis of an analysis of the database that Ukrainian individuals were also involved in the management of the data. We also established that the fact that personal data had fallen into Ukrainian hands poses a grave national security risk,” Mr Orbán said, adding that he has ordered an immediate investigation into the details of the incident.
